FEES AND REBATES

SESSION FEES

The standard 50-minute session fee is $220 (+$20 for out of hours sessions). Any rebates reduce the total out of pocket cost.  Concession fees may be available for students and low-income earners. Payment is made through secure Halaxy Paypal payment system. Fees are charged after each appointment and rebates can be automatically sent to Medicare on your behalf (if you have a MHCP). MEDICARE

If you are a Medicare card holder and require mental health support, you may be eligible to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. This entitles you to a rebate for part of the session fee for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The rebate amount for a psychologist is currently $93.35 for a standard (50 minute) appointment. It is a common courtesy to make an extended appointment with your GP to discuss your mental health concerns and eligibility for a MHCP. Psychiatrists are also able to provide a MHCP.

CANCELLATION POLICY

When a course of therapy is entered into upon mutual agreement, an appointment time is reserved for you. Appointments are 50 minutes in duration unless otherwise arranged. Appointment non-attendance or cancellation (including an initial consultation) is subject to a fee up to the total amount of the session. Repeated non-attendance, or late cancellation/re-scheduling may result in changes to payment arrangements or the inability to continue to provide services to you.
